Possibly the worst cocktail ever devised by desperate drunks.
A few weeks ago (okay, it was probably last year, but I tend to lose track of these types of things) friends and I went out for dinner at a Mexican restaurant. After eating our crappy food (why is it that there are no good Mexican restaurants north of the California/Oregon border?), we retired to S & A’s house, where we continued our partying ways.
After drinking them out of all other beverages, we were left with a bottle of cheap tequila and a bottle of cheap champagne … and thus was born the worst cocktail ever devised: Chamquila.
Mix equal or unequal parts of tequila and champagne and Voilà! … or Ay Caramba! … or Sacré Azul!
The actual proportion of tequila and champagne doesn’t matter much because no matter what the mix, it’s still gonna taste like your worst hangover and a punch in the gut all at the same time. On the positive side, if you’re mixing Chamquila, you’re not feeling much pain (at the moment). Cus really, if you weren’t totally plastered, you wouldn’t be drinking Chamquila.
I’m all for miscegenation and hybrid vigor and all … but this is the potent potable equivalent of the perfect storm.
Consider yourselves warned … and strangely tempted.
